Venue FAQ

PLAINS COTTAGE WEDDING & EVENT VENUE
FAQS
Q: How many people can you accommodate for a wedding?
A: We recommend keeping the number to less than 30, including the bride and groom.
Q: How far in advance should we book?
A: We are currently booking into Fall 2021, so if you have a date in mind, we recommend booking as soon as you're 100%
Q: Where do we park?
A: We can accommodate about 9 cars in our driveway. Street parking is also an option. Carpooling is definitely what we suggest!
Q: Is there a restroom on site?
A: Yes, there is for emergencies only. But please keep in mind, this is located in our personal residence, therefore it's not handicap accessible or to be used by the public.
Q: Can we get dressed there?
A: Unfortunately not. However, we can recommend some amazing local AirBnBs and historic places for you and your family to stay!
Q: Can we bring alcohol?
A: No, since you are having your wedding at our home, this is a liability and is something you need to consider.
Q: What happens if it rains?
A: Always a risk with outdoor weddings! If it looks like rain on your wedding day, we recommend securing a tent rental or downsizing to fit in our tiny chapel or greenhouse at Plains Cottage (10 people max, including bride and groom).
Q: What do people typically do for food and furniture?
A: Some couples will hire catering and rental companies which we can recommend to you. Or, ask your guests to bring a dish and do a big pot luck! That option saves a lot as well!
